This Saturday is not like the usual third Saturday. We won’t have a shared supper, but we will still meet for prayer and testimony at 6pm followed by Evening Worship + Waiting on God (6.30pm-8pm). The collection box will be out for your givings.
On Sunday you are welcome to worship in a church of your choice or join the walk on the Downs at 11am - meet at White Tree roundabout bus shelter, the theme will be connected with Resilience in honour of the Bristol Resilience Scheme which is making a big hole on the Downs at the moment. The youthgroup will meet at the Smiths’, 5pm, for their film and food night.

Events in and around Bristol:
Open Airs in Bristol are back. The first one has just passed happening throughout the year on a Saturday at Broadmead. The group meets at Pip n Jay to start with prayer at 1pm, getting to Broadmead for 1.40pm and finishing by about 4pm. They are on the second Saturday of the month until December. The next one is on 9th June. If you can’t come to the meeting your prayers are still very much appreciated.

Bristol Inter Faith Group have arranged a 'Dialogue Circle' for Wednesday 23rd May at 7.30 p.m. at Bethesda Methodist Church, Church Road, Redfield (on the corner of Church Road and Avonvale Road). The subject is 'Faith and the Environment' and speakers from different faith communities will give brief statements on what their faith teaches about care of the environment and what their communities are doing as a response to climate change, resource depletion, etc.
Do churches need so many structures, processes, programmes and organisations? What is essential and what could we dispense with? What do we need to inspire faith, sustain mission and build community? and what do we have the energy and resources to sustain? If you are asking these questions about church you might want to come along to “Simply Church”, an opportunity to explore these issues through a mixture of story-sharing, discussion and missional reflection. Bristol Street Pastors is taking shape! The first General Meeting, which will involve setting up the charity is on Wednesday 30th May, 8.00-8.45pm, at Easton Salvation Army, Hassell Drive, BS2 0AN. At this first meeting (after receiving applications for membership), the members will vote to accept the constitution, and then vote in a Management Committee - who will act as the decision making body for the charity.
